We’re excited to share some important updates from Raleway Hosting. Over the past few days we’ve rolled out a refreshed brand and a major upgrade to the platform that powers your websites, email, and DNS. These changes bring Raleway in line with our parent service brands, GuardDog and E-Dob, while delivering noticeably better performance and reliability for every customer.
Our goal has always been simple: give customers a better experience. To do that, we’ve moved the entire Raleway infrastructure to new, high-performance servers in a modern datacentre. We’ve retired the old control panel and the multi-node cloud setup in favour of a cleaner, faster architecture running LiteSpeed and cPanel.
Previously, every visitor request passed through multiple load balancers before reaching a web server, then another set of load balancers to fetch files or database content. That distributed design worked well for very high-traffic sites, but it sometimes introduced extra latency. The new platform uses significantly more powerful servers capable of handling millions of requests and thousands of concurrent visitors. The result? Websites that load faster, feel more responsive, and stay available more consistently.
The migration is complete. All websites, email accounts, and DNS services have already been moved. You should already be noticing the difference.
We’re now targeting 100% uptime across the network and expect your site to be available 99.99% of the time — roughly the same level of reliability as google.com. That equates to around eight seconds of potential downtime per day. We’re so confident in the new infrastructure that if we experience downtime, we’ll credit your account.
Your sites now live in Continuity House in Coventry. The facility maintains strong green credentials, with investment in solar panels and efficient cooling systems.
AI is transforming the industry, and we’re excited about what it will bring. The flip side is that demand for server capacity has surged. Hyperscale providers that power much of the AI world are facing capacity constraints, which has driven up the cost of server space globally.
Our previous cloud setup required a large number of servers just to serve a single website. With rising costs, keeping that architecture would have forced price increases. Instead, we chose a more efficient, higher-performance platform that uses fewer servers while delivering better speed and reliability — so we can keep prices stable for you.
At the same time, we accelerated the Raleway rebrand so the visual identity matches our updated platforms and sits consistently alongside GuardDog and E-Dob.
