Accessing Webmail & Setting Up Email Clients

Accessing Webmail

You can access your email account directly through a web browser without needing to configure any software.

  1. Open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).
  2. Go to: https://mailclient.raleway.uk
  3. Enter your full email address (e.g., [email protected]) as the username.
  4. Enter your email account password.
  5. Click Sign In / Login.

You will now have access to your inbox, calendar, and other webmail features directly in your browser.

Tip: Bookmark this page for quick access in the future.

Setting Up an Email Client (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.)

If you'd prefer to access your email through a desktop email client instead of webmail, use the following server settings when adding your account manually.

Account Settings

Setting Value
Username Your Email Address
Password Use your email account's password

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP or POP3)

Setting Value
Server mail.rale.uk
IMAP Port 993
POP3 Port 995

IMAP vs. POP3: IMAP is recommended for most users, as it keeps your email synced across multiple devices. POP3 downloads messages to a single device and is only recommended if you access your email from one computer only.

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

Setting Value
Server mail.rale.uk
SMTP Port 465

Authentication

IMAP, POP3, and SMTP all require authentication. When prompted, use the same username and password as above.

Troubleshooting

If you're unable to connect:

  • Double-check that your username is your full email address, not just the part before the @ symbol.
  • Confirm you're using the correct port numbers listed above.
  • Make sure your email client's security settings are set to use SSL/TLS (this is standard for the ports listed).
  • If you've recently changed your password, update it in your email client as well.

If issues persist after checking the above, contact support for further assistance.
